Guida Surveying, Inc. (Guida), a successful land surveying and mapping firm, is seeking a Proposal Writer to support the firm’s marketing and business development efforts statewide. These efforts include: responding to RFPs/RFQs (working with various project managers, creating original proposal content, coordinating with subconsultants), responding to RFI’s from teaming partners, creating specific and tailored SOQs, assist in maintaining general marketing information, and assist with interview preparation and coordination. This position will be the primary proposal writer for the firm with oversight and direction from the Director of Marketing and Business Development.

Skills & Qualifications (Required):

  • Excellent grasp of marketing fundamentals, visual communications, and knowledge of theoretical and practical developments in the A/E industry
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all groups in the operating unit including management, technical, graphics, and support personnel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments under set deadlines
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work flows
  • Ability to capture plans and strategies, provide creative thinking, and create innovative win themes and approaches to winning work
  • Desire to be creative, have fun, and win work!

Education & Technical Experience (Preferred):

Guida’s Proposal Writer should possess the following educational and technical experience:

  • A minimum 5 years experience in marketing or proposal writing with a professional services firm
  • Bachelor’s degree (English, Marketing, Journalism, or Communications)
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe InDesign
  • Proficiency in English verbal and written skills
