San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, 210/Victoria Interchange
San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, 210/Victoria Interchange
The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, a federally recognized Indian tribe, created a new Interchange connecting Highway 210 East to Victoria Avenue, in Highland, CA. The new Interchange assists traffic flow from Highway 210 East to Victoria Avenue. The project required preparation of all studies, reports and other documents needed to comply with the CEQA and NEPA, and approval of the Project by local, state and federal agencies, including the City of Highland and Caltrans.
GUIDA established horizontal and vertical project control for the project area. The survey control was tied into primary corridor controls provided by Caltrans District 8. The supplemental project control stations were established outside of anticipated construction area to be used by the design team and future construction teams.
GUIDA was also responsible for Aerial Photogrammetric Mapping, which was obtained for those portions of Interstate 210 and surrounding area. The mapping was prepared in accordance with the Caltrans Photogrammetric Mapping standards and A-B-C process. Aerial control panels were set to meet aerial triangulation requirements and tied into the project control established for the project. A digital topographic map at a scale of 1″ = 50′ with a 2-foot contour interval was complied over the project limits. The planimetric features were digitized to Caltrans mapping specifications and formatted to meet Caltrans standards. Color digital orthophotography at a scale of 1″ = 50′ with a pixel ground resolution of 0.25 foot (200 pixels per inch) was also provided. The digital orthophotos were georeferenced to the project horizontal datum.
In addition, GUIDA provided Record Land Net Map and boundary services. Cadastral research was performed with the County of San Bernardino, Caltrans, and other applicable entities for existing centerline and right-of-way files and/or available cadastral records in support of the record centerlines and record rights-of-way within the project limits. A record land net map was prepared within the project limits. This map included the street centerlines and record rights of way within the project area. Individual parcels were taken from GIS data sets, easements were not researched or plotted. The map was tied to sufficient found monuments to georeference the record centerlines and rights of way to project controls only.
