Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), Anaheim Canyon Metrolink Station
Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA), Anaheim Canyon Metrolink Station
To meet current and future rail transit demands, the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) in coordination with Metrolink, operated by the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA), and the City of Anaheim, expanded and improved the Anaheim Canyon Metrolink Station.
The improvements included:
- A new second passenger platform;
- New benches, shade structures, and ticket vending machines;
- An extension to the previous passenger platform;
- A new second track of approximately 3,400 feet, allowing more than one train at a time to stop at or pass through the station, for more efficient travel and scheduling;
- Improvements to at-grade crossings at La Palma and Tustin avenues.
Guida provided the construction management team with QA surveying services for the Anaheim Metrolink Station. The improved station serves as an important link in the rail network and will enhance the traveling experience for passengers as well as help trains run more efficiently.
