Founded in 1995, Guida Surveying, Inc. (Guida), has focused on providing professional land surveying services on municipal and private projects throughout California. This family-oriented business, whose focus is on providing innovative surveying, drone/UAV, and GPS technology services, has consistently grown throughout the years in the number of staff as well as in the diversity of the projects on which we have provided services.

The Guida team continues to grow and currently seeks to fill a full-time Proposal Specialist or Senior Proposal Specialist.

The Proposal Specialist or Senior Proposal Specialist will be based out of our Irvine or San Diego offices and will coordinate and participate in the development and preparation of proposal responses for prime and subcontracting opportunities and other communication materials within the organization. This position reports to the Marketing and Communications Manager, serving the markets of Transportation, Water, Land Development, Energy, and Buildings.

  • YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

    • 3+ years marketing/proposal experience within an Engineering/Architecture (A/E) firm
  • EDUCATION

    • BA in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field preferred
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE

    • Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) a plus
  • DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and/or assist in the completion of high-quality proposals, marketing collateral, and presentations.
    • Review RFPs and facilitate go/no-go discussions, kickoff, interview, and debrief meetings.
    • Proposal formatting, writing, editing, and proof reading.
    • Production of proposal and other marketing documents.
    • Work collaboratively with other marketing and proposal staff.
    • Create, update, edit, and maintain company information including project descriptions, resumes, photography, etc.
    • Ability to independently handle multiple, simultaneous assignments and meet tight deadlines.
    • Organize and facilitate client meetings, events, and conferences.
    • Participate in industry organizations that help build Guida brand, e.g. Society of Marketing Professionals (SMPS).
  • REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Excellent English – verbal and written communication skills.
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Thorough understanding of A/E proposal response and procurement process.
    • Understanding of project types, phases, and services for public agency clients.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • SOFTWARE

    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign a plus.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
