Today, Guida celebrates Bruce Warny, a Party Chief based out of Guida’s San Diego Area office, for his five-year work anniversary! During his time as part of the Guida family, Bruce has grown from a Chainman to Party Chief, and been involved in a variety of projects, from high-rises and structures to tunnels and transportation.
Bruce’s direct supervisor and San Diego Area Manager, Richard Allen, had the following words to share about his first-hand experience working with Bruce:
“Bruce Warny’s flexibility and positive attitude is greatly appreciated at Guida. He is both willing and equipped to work on any type of project, and any office location when asked. In addition, he is ready to function as a Party Chief or a Chainman without a question or reservations. Bruce’s main project contribution to Guida Surveying was the SX to PQ project, Utility pipeline layout and as-built project working with NV5. Bruce functioned as a Party Chief and a Chainman during the survey operations.”
Throughout his time at Guida, Bruce stated his favorite projects are every tunnel project he has been a part of, as well as working in downtown Oakland. However, he was clear that he simply enjoys his career overall, as he relishes in never being in the same spot for long, and the changing atmosphere. His advice to anyone interested in pursuing a career in the land surveying industry is simple, “Be a sponge. Learn from all.”
Congratulations Bruce and thank you for all your contributions and continuing to be an essential part of our team!
